2. Test Driven Development in JS with Karma and Jasmine
Establishing unit tests in the process of development forces developers to write better (testable) code. It is great for new projects written from scratch but what to do with existing projects where unit test were not written? Well, unit tests can be a great help in refactoring of your existing project.
3. Microsoft Fakes – Unit testing the (almost) untestable code.
Unit testing is a software development process in which the smallest testable parts of an application, called units, are individually and independently scrutinized for proper operation. Unit testing can be done manually but is often automated. Microsoft Fakes help us isolate the code we are testing by replacing other parts of the application with stubs or shims. These are small pieces of code that are under the control of your tests. By isolating your code for testing, you know that if the test fails, the cause is there and not somewhere else. Stubs and shims also let you test your code even if other parts of your application are not working yet.
