The Operations Team is responsible for the installation, configuration, administration, maintenance, and support of one or more customer environments, software applications and security services. The Operations Team ensures system availability to customers where security and quality is highly important.

 

Skills set you should possess:

  • Degree in Computer Science / Systems Engineering or equivalent
  • Proficient in using Linux - Red Hat Certification desirable (minimally RHCSA, optimally RHCE, or at least be on that level of knowledge)
  • Good understanding of Virtualization technology (KVM, VMware)
  • Good knowledge of Puppet, Foreman, GIT or other similar tools
  • Experience in enterprise-grade system administration is desirable
  • Understanding of computer networks and security
  • Organized and disciplined work ethic Strong initiative and problem solving skills
  • Solid English skills, both written and spoken
  •  Excellent communication and teamwork skills Interest to learn as well as share knowledge and ideas with coworkers

 

Day to day challenges:

  • Creation, design, optimization and maintenance of production and test environments which run our Customer solutions, in coordination with all the other Technology teams involved
  • Manage and operate the client hosted services Support development teams in building, deploying to and maintaining all environments
  • Look out for new ways how to improve the client offerings and services
  • Assists in the improvement and implementation of security policies and procedures, along with investigating incident resolution and root causes to incidents, to ensure stable computing environments
  • Maintain relevant and appropriate documentation about the Systems, including but not limited to, procedures and configurations
  • Resolve any incidents affecting client’ systems in cooperation with the other support Technology teams, in accordance with predefinedContractual SLA values
  • Participates in organization’s emergency response planning, testing, implementation and 24/7 support schedule
  • Monitor ongoing operation and perform activities to assist with performance tuning, troubleshooting of hardware, OS and application issues
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Pre-selection

The pre-selection phase is about the matching of the job resumes to the advertised required skills and competences of the new hire. Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted by a recruiter and will be invited to attend the first interview.

If you are selected for an interview, a Seavus Recruiter will contact you directly to make the necessary arrangements.

Psychological testing is used to support the findings of well conducted interviews and assist in making predictions with respect to job performance and career potential. Through evaluation and assessment of your cognitive abilities, personality characteristics, skills and interests, a more accurate prediction of a likely future behavior is created.

Depending on the job position you have been interviewed for, we may ask you to come for a second time. If so, we will provide all the information you will need in order to be well prepared and confident when you return.
